Ron Burkhardt

Ron Burkhardt is an American abstract artist and the originator of three distinct genres: Notism, Earth Art, and LetterScapes.

His work is known for its vibrant color fields, layered textures, and gestural rhythm — drawing inspiration from cave markings, modern design, and emotional memory. Notism, his most recognized style, captures fleeting thoughts in primal, hieroglyphic-like forms, blending abstract expression with graphic intensity.

With over 200 creative awards and more than 100 exhibitions worldwide, Burkhardt has been featured in major art fairs and biennales across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. His work is held in both public and private collections and has appeared in institutions such as Art Basel/Miami, Sotheby’s, and DTR Modern.

His visual language continues to evolve, reflecting a deep connection to both nature and the subconscious, and positioning him as a singular voice in contemporary abstract art.
